Chest Kits
What’s in a Reading Adventure Treasure Chest Kit?
Everything you need for story time is contained in each treasure chest. You
will find books for sharing with children, a read-along book and cassette, a
musical cassette, a video, and a puppet or other special item.
All of the materials are grouped together in a very broad them such as Big and
Little. Within this kit you will find stories about bugs, dinosaurs, elephants
and many more surprises.
The treasure chests are primarily geared to the preschool age group. However,
each kit will also have material which will be of interest to young toddlers and
early school age children.
Who can check out the Treasure Chests?
Any library in the SERLS region who is an Enhanced member may check out any of the Treasure Chest.
How long can I check out a Treasure Chest?
An Enhanced member of SERLS may check out the Treasure Chest’s for one month. Each library will be allowed to check out a maximum of 5 Treasure Chest’s per month. If interest in the kits grow, we may place all libraries on an automatic rotation schedule, where you will have an assigned library to send kits on to and you will receive kits from another library. This will ensure timely delivery and optimum sharing.
