In this morning workshop participants will learn how to apply good customer service principles to their daily interactions with library patrons. Topics will include: Why is Customer Service Important? 10 Surefire Ways to Lose a Customer, How to Deal With the Stress of Customer Service, and Developing a Personal Action Plan for Customer Service.

What makes a good employee? What do employers really want? What does taking initiative really mean, and why does it matter? In this afternoon training session, Linda Bruno will address all these questions and more. EVERY CHILD READY TO READ STORYTIME TRAINING GUERNSEY COUNTY DISTRICT PUBLIC LIBRARY CROSSROADS BRANCH, CAMBRIDGE/ MAY 12TH, 9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. This session will help attendees discover ways to incorporate the six early literacy skills in their storytimes. Participants will learn techniques for relating these skills to parents within the storytime setting so they can continue the process at home and also through outreach to early childhood educators/caregivers. Attendees should bring a favorite book used in storytimes and a written outline of a favorite storytime. It is required that participants attend the Ready to Read Basic Training before attending the Ready to Read Storytime Training. Free of Charge
